The collection was established in the 18th century, initially to document the princely mines in the Kinzigtal and the Black Forest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>On the first floor, you will find the extensive natural history collection of the house. Here, you can admire numerous scientific specimens, most of which are around 150 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second floor is dedicated to \u201cF\u00fcrstenberg Contemporary,\u201d the collection of contemporary art created by Prince Christian and Princess Jeannette zu F\u00fcrstenberg.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The F\u00fcrstenberg Collections were established in 1868 by Prince Karl Egon III. in the former manorial tithe barn. The museum\u2019s setup on the two lower floors still dates back to the time of construction and is now protected as a historical monument.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<br \/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/haus-fuerstenberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Fuehrer-naturkundliche-Abteilungen-der-F.F.-Sammlungen.pdf\">Guide to the Natural History Collections by Renate K\u00fcppers-Fiebig (PDF)<\/a> .
